We have decided to prepare presentations about some famous people from our countries. Czech students have chosen these five people: 1) Vlasta Burian - a comic actor. 2) Karel IV. - a famous monarch. 3) Karel Gott - a singer. 4) Petr Cech - a goalkeeper. 5) Karel Svoboda - a pop composer.

The most important day at Czech Christmas is 24th December!
We decorate Xmas tree (plastic or real - spruce or fire) in the morning.
Before Christmas we buy presents for our family and friends.We also send Xmas cards.
At about 6pm we have big Xmas dinner. We usually eat fish soup, potatoe salad and fried carp (it´s a kind of fish - living in czech ponds) or schnitzel.
After dinner we open our Christmas presents and we sometimes sing Xmas carols :-) We also like eating special Xmas cookies
Our flats,houses,streets and shops are decorated with Xmas decorations. Here you can see our town Most :
In Italy: We also decorate Christmas tree and buy presents for family and friends. We spend Xmas time with whole family. We decorate our houses and set up the Nativity scene, which represents the birth of Jesus. We open Xmas presents at midnight on 24th December. We drink the champagne at midnight to celebrate Christmas and set up fireworks of many colours!! Very beautiful!! We play bingo. Some people at that time go to the church for the Mass. We eat typical Xmas cakes: pandoro, panettone, dry figs and other food.
